# Where should you live as a digital nomad? 1000 cities, ranked your way

Nostos ranks 1,000 digital-nomad cities on cost of living, safety, healthcare, internet speed, visa ease, getting around, climate, air quality and quality of life. Users set their own weights; every number cites an open-data source and is published as a CC BY 4.0 dataset.

## How a ranking is addressed

Every ranking is a URL on https://nostos.navoy.io/: `?w=10-5-5-5-5-5-5-5-5` sets the nine weights (0–10) in the order cost, safety, healthcare, internet, visa, mobility, climate, air, quality of life; `&budget=2000` caps the monthly cost in USD; `&region=europe` keeps one region; `&visa=1` keeps nomad-visa countries; `&passport=DE` scores entry for a passport (199 passports); `&months=6-7-8` scores the climate for those months. Share the URL instead of recomputing.
